It's Christmas!!!
Maybe you'll enjoy this fun song like we have at our house! We love Hillsong and stumbled across this Christmas song that makes you want to spin around with excitement over the season that we are in and the reason we are celebrating! Hannan has only watched this video and danced to the music a few dozen times. :)
And we are enjoying a time to prepare our hearts as we wait with anticipation for Christmas day! We have never done Advent as a family and this has been a true blessing! Get your free copy of the Jesse Tree Advent Family Devotional here. You will LOVE seeing the Love of God unfold throughout His Word as each story points to His coming!
That reminds me of another little book I have been wanting to share with my friends who have small children. This is a new favorite at our house. The Jesus Storybook Bible: Every Story Whispers His Name. I have learned so much from this little Bible myself!
One of our favorite stories that we have read from this Bible is the story of Jonah and the big fish titled, "God's Messenger". We all know the story about how God told Jonah to go to Nineveh and tell the people that God loved them. Instead, Jonah went the opposite direction and ended up in the belly of a fish for three days! I love the last part of that story that revealed something I'd never thought of before.
"Many years later, God was going to send another Messenger with the same wonderful message. Like Jonah, he would spend three days in utter darkness. But this Messenger would be God's own son. He would be called "The Word" because he himself would be God's Message. God's message translated into our own language. Everything God wanted to say to the whole world - in one Person."
