May Flowers

I thought for my first ~and probably only~ post for this month,

I would just share some "May Flowers" that have sprung up during these warm but sweet days.

Mother's Day was spent with Sha and Gigi. We had a great weekend being entertained by Hanman the whole time! I didn't have my camera that weekend but oh how wonderful to get a NEW camera for Mother's day when Jay came home. My own Nikon! Ahh...I must be a great Mom!!! :) (lol) I am a work in progress, but I know we have the best moms around! Hope you all had a great Mother's day!

We have enjoyed our backyard over these last few weekends.

Jay and Hannan love the yard work...so good for me!

Our screened in porch was a must now that mosquitoes and gnats are in full force!

We feel like we have another room added on to the house.

Jay got the hammock out and I can't say we have been able to enjoy it much due to the heat...

but at times it has been nice! :)

Bennett celebrated Birthday #3!

We enjoyed a nice cookout with a little round of golf.

Brooks didn't get to play golf, drive the gator, or play in the sand, but he can sure sing for his big brother B!

At this Construction Party they definitely got to dig, lift, and haul some dirt!

Hannan has enjoyed his bubble blower again this year.

If you don't have one of these, you gotta get one--I don't care how old you are!

One of the greatest joys of this month was when a friend was finally able to come home to her "nest". She has been in Atlanta, first at Piedmont Hospital and then later, at the Sheppard Center for Rehabilitation. We are all so glad she's doing so well and has made it back home again. She has been an encouragement and blessing to so many. I know God will continue to strengthen her mind and body daily as she presses on with more therapy!

Psalm 84:3 "Even the sparrow has found a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may have her young-a place near your alter, O Lord Almighty, my King and my God."

Last night our mission board from church and the mission team gathered at our home to review the trip and look ahead to what God has next for missions.

Let us remember it is not about "Christian Tourism"...it has to be God's Will, His Timing, and that lives are changed-ours and theirs-as well as, disciples made in order to continue on in Him.

More summertime fun...Hannan and his new pool! A birthday present from Aunt La.
If you want to be outside for any length of time, you need to be soaking in some water!

And Yay! Corn on the cob...sooo yummy~especially off of the grill! This is my summertime favorite, along with the homemade peach ice cream!

Hannan tries eating it off the cob for the first time, and he may not look a thing like me, but he sure eats corn on the cob like his mama!!! Daddy has to cut it off, which takes away from the fun of eating it "on the cob", but not Hannan!

Okay, sorry for covering you up in so many photos at once, but it has been a wonderful month and I have finally made time to share. Notice I said "made".

Hope your days are springing up with wonderful gifts daily.

Much love...from our home to yours!
