Planning to Go

We have a lot going on this summer with building a new home, but in the midst of all that, we felt the tug at our hearts to head back to Honduras...to see friends, to work, to love, to serve, and to receive all that God has for us there. We are very excited!!! We will be traveling with a team from our church and will join up with Lantern of Hope, Inc. and Master's Commissions Ministries in La Esperanza, Honduras. While we are there, I know we will do some medical missions by helping in the clinics that Ms. Lavearn Brooker runs a few days a week. Also, we hope to put stove pipes in the homes of Santa Cruz. Santa Cruz is a remote community where it is not uncommon for them to struggle with respiratory illnesses due to breathing in the smoke of their unvented kitchen. In order to raise money to help with the ministry work, we decided to have a bake sale after church on Sunday, June 14th. We put together a little slide show for church and thought we'd share it here. If you would like some of our delicious goodies and want to help the families of Honduras, come by after church and pick up some dessert for your lunch that day!
