Home from Honduras

I can't believe last week passed so quickly. I am still pondering what all the Lord did while we were among the Lenca Indians in the mountains of Honduras. He is everywhere. His Name was spoken over us, went before us, and was with us the entire time. His Name which is above every name. Our eyes beheld His beauty in observing the beauty of the landscape, the people, our team as one, changes made, lives impacted, safety provided, new friends made, and so much more. I can't begin to try to explain the trip, the people, or the beauty of our Lord. I fail and make a miserable mess; so therefore, I will post a few of my favorite pictures and allow you to observe a tiny bit of what we were able to see. We will have a slide show to share later and I will try to post it here as well. Hope you don't tire of these posts on Honduras!


One of my favorite vices~Coffee! This is abundant in the mountains and a way for them to earn money. I bought a few bags myself!

Men aren't around a lot due to work, but we saw them very involved with the stove pipes while we were there. They also came to the school to watch their children get awarded for perfect attendance.

The eggs were a huge hit.

This next picture may not look like much, but we mentioned that our team would buy enough pipe to provide water to the last house in Santa Cruz that still didn't have access to the well, and the men and boys of Santa Cruz dug all night long; the trench for the pipe was completed in about 24 hours! I can't remember exactly how long it was but it was a L_O_N_G. way.

He works very hard within the community and in the church.

This is the couple that walked 5 hours to be seen at the medical clinic! The lady happens to be the same age as my mom! Their faces seem to tell the story of a harder way of life.


There are SO many more! Hope to be able to share them later.

We had a great week and enjoyed joining Ms. Lavearn and her ministry, Lantern of Hope, Inc. in ministering to the Lenca Indians of Santa Cruz in the mountains of Honduras.

As always, they ministered God's love to us as well. We will never be the same.
